About Snakestaff Systems

Equipment that has to work the first time, because there is no second one.

We build tourniquets and the kit around them for people who carry them professionally and for people who hope never to open the pouch.

01

A tourniquet is a machine you use once

It sits in a pouch for years, in heat and cold and sweat, and then it has one job on the worst day of someone's life. It gets applied by whoever is nearest — often with one hand, often their own leg, always with adrenaline in the way.

Almost everything that makes a tourniquet fail is decided long before that moment: the plastic that goes brittle, the windlass that flexes, the strap that slips through a buckle when it is wet. Those are manufacturing decisions, not user error.

02

[Year] — building our own

[Founder name and background — client to confirm.] Snakestaff Systems started in [place] because the equipment available at the time kept failing in ways that were fixable.

The first ETQ was [what changed — client to confirm]. It is a medical device, so it is built like one: an FDA-registered facility, controlled lots, and a documented process behind every unit.

03

What the field sent back

We keep a record of documented real-world uses — eighteen of them so far, published in full rather than trimmed into testimonials. Military and law enforcement, EMS, and civilians who happened to be there.

Some of them describe our product working. Some describe another manufacturer's failing first. We publish both, in the reporter's own words, because a record you edit is not a record.

04

Gen 2, and what comes after

[What changed in Gen 2 and why — client to confirm.] Every revision starts from something that came back from the field rather than from a marketing calendar.

[Current focus / what is next — client to confirm.]

How we build

Four things we will not trade

  • Built to be used, not stocked

Every choice gets measured against one-handed application under stress, not against a spec sheet read at a desk.

  • Published, not claimed

Test data, real-world use and Instructions For Use are all on this site in full. If we say it, you can check it.

  • Training is part of the product

We publish the skill content free and point people to hands-on courses we do not run. Equipment nobody can use is not equipment.

  • Made in the U.S.A.

Manufactured domestically in an FDA-registered facility, with controlled lots and traceable process.
